Kirchner: Sketch to Stage
Producer/ Editor
While working at the New England Conservatory, I had a chance to collaborate with Paula Robison to create these series of videos to help promote the performance of Leon Kirchner's "Music for Flute and Orchestra". A revised and refreshed edition of the score was performed by Paula, Hugh Wolff and the NEC Philharmonia on November 5, 2014 in NEC's Jordan Hall.
In this brief documentary, a companion piece to the concert performance video, flutist Paula Robison and conductor Hugh Wolff discuss the challenges they faced in bringing Leon Kirchner's 1978 masterpiece "Music for Flute and Orchestra" to the concert stage (and to print) in a definitive restored edition
